Got my impossibly warped rotors and tossed on these ‘sport’ rotors that had been sitting around for a while.
The idiots that put on my new tires overtorqued the shit out of my lug nuts so I had to get creative with my choice in cheater bar. In the process I hurt my back and overexerted myself while sick so now I have a fever. Neato.

They probably didn’t torque them

Fuck, over torquing lugnuts might be the worst offense imaginable. Turns an easy job into a huge pain in the ass. I’ve spent 4 hours changing a flat due to these bastards.

Torque sticks take like 0 effort. You get written up at work if you’re caught not using a torque stick, and straight up fired if you fuck up someone’s lugs because that’s A) Super dangerous and B) A really dumb mistake, and if you screw that up god only knows what else you screwed up.

For real. Torque sticks. They take four seconds.

I know a place that if they can’t find the torque stick your car needs, they just don’t torque the wheels. They’ll just use an impact wrench to put them back on.
And yup, sticks themselves aren’t hard, some people are retards and use them wrong though. But there’ still no excuse for not just using a torque wrench.

Are you going to AutoX this beast or is it just a flip?

This is why if I’m ever somewhere that would have had my wheels off for whatever reason, as soon as I get home the breaker bar comes out, the nuts get cracked loose, then the torque wrench re-seats them.

This is just my long-term daily driver. Modifying it with the goals of comfort and audio in mind. Eventually it’ll get paint, too.

Did I miss something? What happened to the Honda?

It got totaled at a car show by a showboating Corvette Z06. I then traded it for a ‘91 Silverstone Miata, which I then wrecked, then fixed, now it’s getting an engine overhaul. Before putting the Miata in the shop I got a loan on a $4500 2005 Ford Mustang V6 Auto convertible for daily-driving duties (bought it wholesale from work). It’s basically been various stages of broken since I bought it so I got this Buick for $650 to cover daily driver duties while I fix, title, and sell the Mustang off to get out of debt.

Oh crap.. I have been paying attention but somehow blocked it all out.. Sorry. I forgot all about the Miata too.
I promise to pay better attention here forth.

It’s all good! Sometimes fun to look at what all has happened, lol. I’m excited for the Miata again. The Mustang and Riviera are like driving an apartment building.
